About The Position

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. The RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocates for patients to support a positive patient experience. This is a PRN position, with a preference for working one to two shifts per week. Shifts may be days or nights. At least one year of medical/surgical or progressive care unit experience is required.

Requirements

Associate degree.
Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
At least one year of medical/surgical or progressive care unit (PCU) experience.

Nice To Haves

Preference for an RN able to work one to two shifts per week.

Responsibilities

Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status.
Perform procedures and other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
Document care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in collaboration with medical providers.
Advocate for patients to support a positive patient experience.
