Registered Nurse (RN) - Psych Intake
About The Position
Paradise Valley Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is hiring a Registered Nurse for Psych Intake. The hospital provides behavioral health services, including psychiatric continuum-of-care services for adults, inpatient care, and intensive outpatient services. The nurse assesses the needs of walk-in visitors and phone callers and directs them to suitable services or resources. The role coordinates and prioritizes inpatient bed reservations and placement to support admission to the appropriate level of care. The nurse also advises, informs, and assists physicians and their offices before and during hospitalization, including explaining hospital policies and procedures relevant to a patient's stay. This is a per diem position with a variable shift. The listed compensation range is $60.00 to $60.00. The actual starting compensation is determined at selection and may take into account skills, applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure. Benefits may vary according to collective bargaining agreement requirements and employment status.
Requirements
- Current, valid Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
- Current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.
- At least two years of experience with inpatient psychiatric care.
- At least two years of experience coordinating level-of-care assessments.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or master's degree in a health-related field preferred.
Responsibilities
