Registered Nurse (RN) - Psych Intake
About The Position
Paradise Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Psych Intake service. The hospital provides behavioral health services, including psychiatric continuum-of-care services for adult patients, inpatient services, and intensive outpatient services. The RN assesses the needs of walk-in and phone callers and connects them with the service or resource best suited to their needs. The role coordinates and prioritizes inpatient bed reservations and placement to support seamless admission to the appropriate level of care. The RN also advises, informs, and assists physicians and their offices before and during hospitalization, including communicating hospital policies and procedures relevant to the patient’s stay.
Requirements
- Current, valid Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
- Current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintenance of a current certificate.
- At least two years of experience with inpatient psychiatric care.
- At least two years of experience coordinating level-of-care assessments.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or master’s degree in a health-related field preferred.
Responsibilities
