About The Position

Paradise Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Psych Intake team. The role assesses the needs of walk-in and phone callers and connects them with the service or resource best suited to address those needs. It coordinates and prioritizes inpatient bed reservations and placement to support seamless admission to the appropriate level of care. The nurse also advises, informs, and assists physicians and their offices before and during hospitalization, including communicating hospital policies and procedures relevant to the patient’s stay. Paradise Valley Hospital is a 291-bed acute care hospital and part of Prime Healthcare. Its services include behavioral health care, psychiatric services for adult patients, inpatient and intensive outpatient services, rehabilitation, cardiac catheterization, surgery, and emergency care. The position is full-time on the day shift. The compensation range is $48.48 to $66.83; the exact starting compensation is determined during hiring based on factors including skills, applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.

Requirements

Hold a current, valid Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
Hold a current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintain it.
Have at least two years of experience with inpatient psychiatric care.
Have at least two years of experience coordinating level-of-care assessments.

Nice To Haves

BSN or master’s degree in a health-related field preferred.
