Ohio - RN Respiratory/3 East - Night Shift - Zanesville (replacing Jihann M.)
About The Position
Seeking an experienced, highly motivated Registered Nurse for a fast-paced, 21-bed Respiratory Med-Surg unit specializing in pulmonary disease care. The unit serves a complex adult patient population, including patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring, in an environment with rapid patient turnover and varying levels of care needs. The role is 36 hours per week on a 7:00 PM–7:30 AM night shift, with every other weekend required. There is no on-call requirement. Candidates must meet all requirements at submission. Unless the candidate is a returning traveler within nine months, the only available start date is November 16th.
Requirements
- Active Ohio RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience.
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips; a competency test is required on Day 1, and failure is grounds for immediate termination.
- Mandatory proficiency with Epic EMR; no training or refreshers are provided, and lack of proficiency is grounds for immediate termination.
- Epic proficiency must be clearly documented in the referral submission.
- Must be adaptable, efficient, and able to thrive in a high-volume setting.
- Must meet all requirements at submission.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient outcomes.
- Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.
