About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced Respiratory Med-Surg unit specializing in pulmonary diseases. This high-acuity unit cares for a complex patient population, including patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring. The role requires comfort with a dynamic environment, rapid patient turnover, and varying levels of care needs. The position is located in Zanesville, Ohio, and works nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Every other weekend and holiday coverage are required. There is no on-call requirement.

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience.
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips; a competency test is required on Day 1.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is mandatory.
• Must be adaptable, efficient, and able to thrive in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.
