Ohio - RN Respiratory/3 East - Night Shift - Zanesville (replacing Jihann M.)
About The Position
Seeking an experienced, motivated Registered Nurse for a fast-paced, 21-bed Respiratory Med-Surg unit specializing in pulmonary diseases. The high-acuity unit cares for a complex patient population, including patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring, with rapid patient turnover and varying care needs. The position is on the night shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holiday coverage required. There is no on-call requirement. Nurses may float within their scope to similar Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and Emergency Department boarders.
Requirements
- Active Ohio RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience.
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips; a competency test is required on Day 1, and failure may result in termination.
- Proficiency with Epic EMR is mandatory; training or refreshers are not provided, and lack of proficiency may result in termination.
- Adaptability and efficiency, and ability to thrive in a high-volume setting.
- Availability for night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend, and holiday coverage.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient outcomes.
- Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and Emergency Department boarders.
