About The Position

Benchmark is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to residents in a warm, comfortable, home-like environment at Plymouth Crossings. The position offers flexible per diem hours and an hourly pay range of $39.50 to $43.50. The nurse works as part of a supportive team and helps foster residents’ well-being and independence.

Requirements

• Current state RN license and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved RN program, as required by state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience working as a nurse is preferred.
• Previous experience working with elderly people in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
• Observe and report significant changes in residents’ behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, Resident Care Assistants, and Executive Director, in accordance with state regulations.
• Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinate care needs with community providers through an effective case management process.
• Balance service demands with support for resident independence.
• Recognize and help prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and report concerns to appropriate sources in accordance with state regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system alerts, and determine when to call for backup.
