About The Position

Benchmark is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver nursing care to residents in a warm, comfortable, home-like environment. The RN joins a team of dedicated associates and supports residents while building relationships within the community. The role has flexible per diem hours and pays $33.50–$37.50 per hour. Requirements

• Current state RN license and CPR certification.
• Graduation from an approved RN program, as required by the state.
• One to two years of nursing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
• Observe and report significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, Resident Care Assistants, and Executive Director, as required by state regulations.
• Direct and supervise the daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their jobs.
• Coordinate care needs with community providers through an effective case-management process.
• Balance service demands with support for resident independence.
• Recognize and help prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and report it to appropriate sources as required by state regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response systems, and know when to call for backup.
