About The Position

The Registered Nurse works with other healthcare professionals to treat patients with a range of injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. The role monitors patients, administers medications, maintains records, consults with healthcare providers, and educates patients. This is a full-time night position in the ICU at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center, with a stated schedule of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification.
• Prior nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing; ASN graduates must complete BSN studies within five years of their start date.
• Master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
• At least one year of critical care experience.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and complete healthcare records and reports.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribe assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitor, report, and record symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assess, implement, plan, or evaluate patient nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Record patient vital signs and medical information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
