About The Position

The Registered Nurse works with other healthcare professionals to treat patients with a range of injuries, illnesses, and disabilities. The role includes monitoring patients, administering medications, maintaining records, consulting with healthcare providers, and educating patients. This position is a full-time overnight role in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center, with a scheduled shift of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 1–2 years of acute-care pediatric experience.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification.
• PALS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing; ASN graduates must complete BSN studies within five years of their start date.
• Master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in nursing or a relevant area.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and complete healthcare records and reports.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribe assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitor, report, and record symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
• Assess, implement, plan, or evaluate patient nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Record patients’ vital signs and medical information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
