About The Position
The Registered Nurse OR Market Float Pool role is based in the Austin, Texas metro area and floats across various locations. The position is in the OR Nurse Staffing department and involves rotating, PRN scheduling. The pay rate is $64 per hour. The nurse delivers compassionate direct patient care across diverse specialty units, follows organizational protocols, implements and monitors patient care plans, and ensures physician and nursing orders are carried out accurately and on time. The nurse also coordinates communication and assessment among healthcare disciplines throughout a patient's care journey, and records patient conditions, observations, and interventions to support coordinated care.
Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse credential obtained before the hire date or job transfer date.
- BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
- Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.
- At least 2 years of recent RN OR circulating experience.
Nice To Haves
- ACLS certification; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care across diverse specialty units in adherence to organizational protocols.
- Implement and continuously monitor patient care plans, ensuring accurate and timely execution of physician and nursing orders.
- Coordinate communication and assessment among all disciplines within the healthcare team throughout a patient's journey.
- Communicate and document patient conditions, observations, and interventions to support a coordinated care plan.
