About The Position

The Registered Nurse will float across various locations in the Austin, Texas metropolitan area as part of the ER Nurse Staffing department. This PRN role has a rotating schedule and pays $51 per hour. The nurse delivers compassionate, high-quality direct patient care across diverse specialty units while following organizational protocols. The role includes implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating communication and assessment among healthcare disciplines, and carefully documenting patient conditions, observations, and interventions.

Requirements

BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer.
ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer.
PALS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer.
TNCC certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer.
Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.
At least 2 years of Emergency Department experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care across diverse specialty units in accordance with organizational protocols.
Implement and continuously monitor patient care plans, ensuring physician and nursing orders are carried out accurately and on time.
Coordinate the patient journey by serving as a central communication and assessment link among healthcare disciplines.
Communicate and document patient conditions, observations, and interventions to support a coordinated care plan.
