About The Position
Responsible for the planning, delivery, and management of direct patient care using the nursing process and adhering to nursing practice standards. The position provides care from admission through discharge appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population, including assessment, care planning, coordination, supervision, evaluation, and appropriate delegation. This is an Emergency Room position in Marlborough, scheduled for 24 hours per week on an evening shift. Scheduled hours are 2:45 p.m. to 3:15 a.m. The schedule includes every other holiday and every third weekend.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
- Current BLS certification, unless current ACLS certification is held; unit-specific certifications and competencies may also be required.
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use the nursing process to deliver and manage patient care from admission to discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments according to standard procedure.
- Develop and coordinate individual plans of care, including discharge planning.
- Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
- Delegate appropriately to others in accordance with their job descriptions and competency levels.
