Registered Nurse, Emergency Room, Marlborough, Day, 24-Hours, 7A-7P
About The Position
The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, delivering, and managing direct patient care using the nursing process and adhering to nursing practice standards. This role uses the nursing process to manage patient care from admission through discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population. The nurse assesses and reassesses patients, develops and coordinates individualized plans of care including discharge planning, directs and evaluates nursing care in the assigned clinical setting, and delegates tasks according to job descriptions and competency levels. This is a 24-hour-per-week Emergency Room position at the Marlborough location, scheduled for day shifts from 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. The schedule includes every third weekend and every other holiday. The role is classified as non-exempt and is represented by the Massachusetts Nurses Association, Marlborough.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
- BLS certification, unless current ACLS certification is held; unit-specific certifications and competencies may also be required.
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is highly preferred.
