About The Position

Saint Luke's Hospice House is seeking a full-time night Registered Nurse to care for an end-of-life patient population. The nurse uses the nursing process and is accountable for providing patient care, delegating care tasks, and supervising other patient care staff. The role coordinates plans of care for assigned patients and consults with other members of the health care team as needed to support optimal patient outcomes. The clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and follows applicable policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse credential required; compact, Missouri, or Kansas licensure accepted.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Family Care Safety Registry requirement through the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services.
• Associate degree.
• Applicable experience: less than 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process.
• Perform patient care.
• Delegate patient care tasks and supervise other patient care staff.
• Coordinate the plan of care for a group of assigned patients.
• Consult with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate proficiency and abide by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
