About The Position

Saint Luke's Hospice House is seeking a part-time registered nurse to care for an end-of-life patient population on the night shift. The nurse uses the nursing process and provides patient care, delegates patient care tasks, and supervises other patient care staff. The role coordinates plans of care for assigned patients and consults with other members of the health care team as needed to support optimal patient outcomes. The clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and follows applicable policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse credential required; Missouri and Kansas or compact licensure accepted.
• Associate degree.
• Less than one year of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process.
• Perform patient care.
• Delegate patient care tasks and supervise other patient care staff.
• Coordinate the plan of care for assigned patients.
• Consult with other members of the health care team when indicated to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical proficiency and abide by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
