About The Position
Join Essentia Health’s compassionate team at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, Minnesota. The role provides meaningful comfort and support to patients and families during end-of-life care in a peaceful, home-like environment focused on dignity and quality of life. The Registered Nurse organizes and provides patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions, and contributes to the facility’s and Essentia Health’s mission and goals while meeting applicable regulatory and accrediting requirements. This is a casual position.
Requirements
- Current nursing licensure in the state(s) of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or ability to become certified within one month of hire.
Responsibilities
- Organize and provide patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
- Contribute to the facility’s and Essentia Health’s mission and goals.
- Meet requirements of the Joint Commission, if applicable, and other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
