RN - Registered Nurse - Ava's Hospice House - Nights
About The Position
Ava’s House is a 20-bed inpatient acute hospice facility that cares for adult and pediatric patients. The facility focuses on symptom management and maintaining comfort and dignity at end of life, providing 24-hour care. It is described as a “Hospice ICU” that takes pride in managing distressing symptoms in medically and ethically appropriate ways during a difficult time for patients and their families. The department works closely with all inpatient units, especially medical oncology. This position offers an opportunity for both newly graduated and experienced RNs to work independently and with a team of motivated professionals, providing ongoing collaboration and learning. The nursing team is composed of critical thinkers who are adaptable, great communicators, detail-oriented, and possess excellent time management skills. The Education team develops curricula integrating evidence-based practices and collaborates with partners across the organization to provide RNs with the necessary skills and tools for career success.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
- Currently holds an unencunbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
