Registered Nurse (RN) - Per Diem Days
About The Position
Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care and treatment throughout patients’ recovery. This per-diem, as-needed position is based at Select Specialty Hospital Southeast OH in Newark, Ohio, and works 12-hour day shifts. The minimum per-diem commitment is four shifts in a six-week period. The hospital provides an extensive RN orientation program and notes that strong performance may lead to potential full-time opportunities. Compensation is $50.00 per hour, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Valid state RN license.
- BLS certification required at hire.
- ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities
- Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
- Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
- Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
- Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
- Demonstrate competence in rapid response and code events.
- Instruct and counsel patients and families.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
