About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital-TriCities is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate, excellent treatment and support patients during vulnerable and difficult moments. The position is per diem, with a minimum requirement of four shifts in a six-week period. The schedule is days, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The role includes an extensive orientation program, and strong performance may lead to potential full-time opportunities. Compensation is $41 per hour, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Demonstrate competence during Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
