About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital-TriCities is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care throughout patients’ treatment and recovery. The position is per diem, with day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and a minimum requirement of four shifts in a six-week period. The employer offers an extensive orientation program and notes that the role may provide a path to future full-time opportunities.

Requirements

• Valid state RN license.
• BLS certification is required at hire.
• ACLS certification is required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Demonstrate competence in rapid response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
