About The Position

The registered nurse plans, organizes, coordinates, and provides professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care setting, following established standards and protocols and responding to the unique needs of the ages served by the clinic. As a care team member, the RN supports quality, patient- and family-centered care by performing high-level functions that meet the needs of patients, families, and the healthcare team. The nurse educates patients and the public about medical conditions, maintains complete, timely, and accurate clinical documentation, and looks for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

Requirements

• RN license in the state of practice; some positions may require additional state RN licenses.

Nice To Haves

• One year of previous healthcare experience in an ambulatory setting.
• One year of previous OBGYN or women's health experience.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and identify expected nursing outcomes.
• Implement nursing interventions based on the plan of care.
• Evaluate care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Deliver care as delegated by a physician or authorized practitioner to the assigned patient population or individual patient.
• Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
• Continuously work to improve work processes, the work environment, and the overall experience to serve customers and meet business goals.
