About The Position

Inova OBGYN is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Registered Nurse to provide safe, therapeutic, holistic, and systematic care in a physician practice or other outpatient setting. The nurse incorporates patient and family differences, education, knowledge, skills, and experience to meet care needs and achieve desired outcomes. The role includes clinic and non-acute operations, improving care and outcomes, guiding and mentoring others, promoting efficient care delivery, and making independent clinical decisions based on education and experience.

This is a full-time day-shift role, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., located at 3620 Joseph Siewick Dr., Suite 307, Fairfax, Virginia 22033.

Requirements

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing; an RN with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) must complete a BSN within five years of the start date.
• RN licensed or eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of RN experience in Labor & Delivery.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinic or non-acute duties, including full intakes, medication reconciliation, patient education, vaccinations, injections, and phlebotomy.
• Provide safe, therapeutic, holistic, and systematic care in an outpatient setting, including patient and family education.
• Use an integrated approach to achieve desired patient outcomes while incorporating patient and family differences into care.
• Use data and information to improve care and outcomes and support improvements in practice settings.
• Provide direction and guidance to others and serve as a resource, preceptor, and mentor.
• Ensure efficient care delivery, determine immediate priorities, offer solutions to problems, and work with the team to maximize productivity.
• Make independent clinical decisions based on knowledge gained through education and experience.
