Registered Nurse (RN) - CCU
About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the CCU utilizes the nursing process to assess a patient’s condition during infusion and before discharge. The nurse communicates assessment results to other members of the healthcare team and follows the appropriate plan of care formulated by the healthcare provider. The nurse edits documentation of patient activities to ensure an accurate record of medical treatment and response, supports organizational goals and objectives, and ensures universal precautions and departmental protocols are followed. Other duties may be required. The position is full-time on the night shift. An advertised sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is for experienced registered nurses and does not apply to internal applicants.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing.
- Current State of California RN license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient condition during infusion and before discharge using the nursing process.
- Communicate results to other members of the healthcare team in accordance with the appropriate plan of care formulated by the healthcare provider.
- Edit documentation of patient activities to maintain an accurate record of medical treatment and patient response.
- Support defined organizational goals and objectives.
- Ensure universal precautions and departmental protocols are followed.
- Perform other duties as required.
