About The Position

In accordance with the Mission and Cornerstone Behaviors, the Nurse Manager, under the direction of the Department Director, plans, organizes, staffs, and directs patient care on a daily operational basis in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act. The role functions within the standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines of the Organization.

Requirements

• Graduate from a school of nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current license to practice in the State of Florida.
• Minimum of two years of recent and relevant clinical experience.
• Effective communication skills.
• Evidence of effective leadership and management abilities or potential.
• BLS healthcare provider training required.

Nice To Haves

• Professional certification preferred.
• ACLS healthcare provider training, if applicable (e.g., Emergency Department or ICU).

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, staff, and direct patient care on a daily operational basis.
• Perform duties in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act and the Organization’s standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
