Registered Nurse (Orange)
About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is seeking a compassionate, experienced Registered Nurse to complete initial assessments and supervisory visits for clients receiving personal care services in their homes in Orange, Louisa, and surrounding areas. The role offers PRN, per-visit work with scheduling arranged around the nurse’s availability. It does not involve bedside shifts or hands-on skilled nursing. Duties include assessing clients, guiding caregivers, and helping ensure quality care so seniors and adults with disabilities can remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Compensation is per visit or hour, depending on the service, with an additional mileage bonus for visits more than 30 miles from the office.
Requirements
- Active Virginia RN license or a compact license valid in Virginia.
- At least one year of nursing experience in a hospital, home health, rehabilitation, or similar setting.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to clients’ homes.
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities
- Complete initial client assessments.
- Conduct six-month reassessments and supervisory visits for clients receiving personal care services at home.
- Provide guidance to caregivers and help ensure quality care.
- Complete in-service or training classes, occasional aide clinical orientations, and office or administrative work as needed.
- Travel to clients’ homes in Orange, Louisa, and surrounding areas.
Benefits

- No 12-hour shifts, overnight rotations, or mandatory weekends.
- Per-visit compensation: $65 for an initial client assessment, $55 for a six-month reassessment, $30 for a missed visit when the client is not home, $30 for an in-service or training class, and $20 for an occasional aide clinical orientation.
- Office or administrative work paid at $20 per hour.
- Additional $5 per visit for clients located more than 30 miles from the office.
