About The Position

PeaceHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care to adults experiencing acute psychiatric conditions. The Psychiatric Unit serves adults receiving treatment on a voluntary or involuntary basis and provides psychiatric assessment, evaluation and treatment; 24-hour nursing care; individual and group therapy; recreational therapy; social work services; discharge planning; and care coordination. The RN works with a multidisciplinary team to support patients’ stability, recovery and healing.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
• At least one year of experience working with chronically mentally ill clients, or the ability to provide independent patient care within the department following orientation.
• Ability to communicate with empathy and professionalism and work collaboratively in a team setting.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Experience in inpatient behavioral health or psychiatric nursing.

Responsibilities
