About The Position

The Anesthesia Technician cleans and stocks anesthesiology work areas and assists anesthesiology providers as needed to make anesthesia services available to patients. This position is 0.9 FTE, or 72 hours bi-weekly. Shifts rotate between day and evening schedules: 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m., 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 6:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m., 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m. Weekend and holiday rotation is on-call, approximately every other month.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare workers.
• One of the following: Wisconsin Registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA); National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (NREMT); National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (NREMT-P); Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B); or an associate degree in Anesthesia Technology in lieu of certification.
