About The Position
As a Patient Care Technician at Franciscan Health, you perform delegated patient care activities and spend significant time with patients. You help build trust, provide comfort, and support recovery through compassionate, person-centered care. You work alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals throughout the hospital and gain exposure to varied patient populations and care environments. The position offers direct, hands-on patient care in a supportive, team-focused environment, with opportunities to learn from skilled healthcare professionals. The listed minimum starting pay is $18.02. Day-shift opportunities are available. The role is based at Franciscan Health Crown Point in Crown Point, Indiana, and travel is never or rarely required.
Requirements
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA).
- Prior Patient Care Technician experience in another acute-care healthcare organization.
- Completion of the Franciscan PCT In-training program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association; Franciscan provides training and recertification as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Nursing student who has completed the first semester of clinicals.
