About The Position

Franciscan Health Crown Point is hiring a Patient Care Technician for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The role performs delegated patient care activities and provides direct, hands-on, compassionate, person-centered care. Patient Care Technicians spend significant time with patients, helping build trust, provide comfort, and support recovery while working alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals in a team-focused hospital environment. The position is part-time at 24 hours per week on the night shift. Travel is never or rarely required.

Requirements

• Meet at least one of the following qualifications: hold an active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license through the State of Indiana; have prior Patient Care Technician experience in an acute care healthcare organization; be a nursing student who has completed the first semester of clinicals; or have completed the Franciscan PCT Training Program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association. Franciscan will provide BLS training and recertification as needed.
