Patient Care Technician- PCU- 0.6 FTE- Nights
About The Position
As a Patient Care Technician at Franciscan Health, you will perform delegated patient care activities and provide direct, hands-on care. Patient Care Technicians spend substantial time with patients, helping build trust, provide comfort, and support recovery through compassionate, person-centered care. You will work alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals in a supportive, team-focused hospital environment and gain exposure to a variety of patient populations and care environments. The role is part-time, 24 hours per week, on the night shift, at Franciscan Health Crown Point in Crown Point, Indiana. Minimum starting pay is $18.02 per hour. Travel is never or rarely required.
Requirements
- Meet at least one of the following: hold an active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license through the State of Indiana; have prior Patient Care Technician experience in an acute care healthcare organization; be a nursing student who has completed the first semester of clinicals; or have completed the Franciscan PCT Training Program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association. Franciscan will provide BLS training and recertification as needed.
