Registered Nurse (Full Time & Part Time Opening)
About The Position
Mosaic is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess and monitor all aspects of the medical and psychiatric care of individuals served. The nurse collaborates with community healthcare service providers, nutrition services, and behavior specialists to help provide quality care. The role coordinates healthcare appointments and follow-ups, supports the Direct Support Team in administering medications and performing other tasks in accordance with Mosaic policies and state licensing requirements, and maintains and reviews medical records, including documentation of delegated healthcare procedures and nursing tasks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with rotating on-call duties, much of which involves answering questions and giving directions by phone. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. The stated hourly rate is $34–$39, based on experience.
Requirements
- Degree required based on state and agency definitions.
- At least two years of general nursing experience.
- State nursing license.
- Frequent physical activity, including extended periods of standing, walking, and bending, and occasional sitting, kneeling, climbing, stooping, crouching, squatting, and balancing.
- Constant reaching between knee and shoulder level, and frequent reaching below knee level and overhead.
- Occasional independent lifting up to 25 pounds, frequent pushing or pulling up to 40 pounds of force, and the ability to safely transfer 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with community healthcare service providers, nutrition services, and behavior specialists to provide quality care.
- Coordinate and oversee healthcare appointments, including appropriate follow-ups.
- Educate and enable the Direct Support Team to administer medications and perform other tasks according to Mosaic policies and state licensing requirements.
- Maintain and review medical records to monitor pertinent concerns and document the delegation of healthcare procedures and nursing tasks.
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage, answering questions and giving directions over the phone.
