About The Position
The Float Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, flexible nursing care across various hospital units. The role helps maintain quality and continuity of patient care while ensuring patient needs are met efficiently and effectively. The RN delivers evidence-based care, adapts to different units and medical-surgical procedures, communicates with patients, families, and healthcare team members, provides education about care plans and health promotion, and manages emergent needs, admissions, and hospital rounds. This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week hourly position with day or night shifts and every other weekend/holiday coverage. The stated pay range is $37.25–$61.75 per hour, based on working RN experience and potentially varying by location.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
- At least 1 year of inpatient hospital RN experience.
- BLS certification required.
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required for certain departments.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
