About The Position
The Float Registered Nurse provides high-quality, flexible nursing care across various hospital units. The role supports quality and continuity of patient care by ensuring patient needs are met efficiently and effectively. This is a full-time position with 36 night hours and every-other-weekend/holiday work.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
- At least 1 year of inpatient hospital RN experience.
- BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required for certain departments.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care based on nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practices.
- Adapt to different units and medical-surgical procedures as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Educate patients and caregivers about care plans, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Manage emergent patient needs, admissions, and hospital rounds.
