About The Position
The Float Registered Nurse provides high-quality, flexible nursing care across various hospital units. The role helps maintain the quality and continuity of patient care by ensuring patient needs are met efficiently and effectively. The nurse adapts to different units and medical-surgical procedures as needed, communicates with patients, families, and healthcare team members, educates patients and caregivers, and manages emergent patient needs, admissions, and hospital rounds.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current registered nurse (RN) licensure in Connecticut.
- At least 1 year of inpatient hospital RN experience.
- BLS certification required.
- Additional certifications, such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP, may be required for certain departments.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care based on nursing theory, research, and evidence-based practices.
- Adapt to different units and medical-surgical procedures as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
