Registered Nurse - Baird 4 - General Medicine
About The Position
The Registered Nurse position is with Baird 4, a General Medicine unit at the University of Vermont Medical Center’s main campus in Burlington, Vermont. Baird 4 is one of three General Medicine units and cares for patients with acute and chronic multisystem health needs, including respiratory disease, renal and dialysis needs, diabetes, wounds, alcohol withdrawal, substance use disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, coagulopathies, and infectious disease. It is the only floor outside the ICU that cares for adults who depend on tracheostomies and ventilators. This is a part-time bargaining-union position with 24 standard hours per week and 48 biweekly scheduled hours. The primary evening shift is 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, with every-other-weekend coverage. On-call duty is not required. The listed salary range is $41.39–$69.14, with a midpoint of $55.27.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients with acute and chronic multisystem health needs on a General Medicine unit.
- Care for adults who are tracheostomy- and ventilator-dependent.
