About The Position
The Registered Nurse position is based on Baird 4, a General Medicine unit at the University of Vermont Medical Center’s Main Campus in Burlington, Vermont. Baird 4 is one of three General Medicine units and cares for patients with acute and chronic multi-system health needs. It is the only floor outside the ICU that cares for adults dependent on tracheostomies and ventilators. This is a part-time bargaining union position. On-call is not required.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients with acute and chronic multi-system health needs, including respiratory disease, renal and dialysis needs, diabetes, wounds, alcohol withdrawal, substance use disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, coagulopathies, and infectious disease.
- Provide care for tracheostomy- and ventilator-dependent adults.
