About The Position

Medical Park West Rehabilitation and Skilled Care in Norman, Oklahoma, is seeking Registered Nurses to provide and direct patient care in a long-term and rehabilitative care facility. The RN delivers care in accordance with facility clinical systems, regulatory requirements, and physician orders, and helps ensure high-quality services in a customer-service-friendly environment. The role contributes to a positive resident experience through compassionate healthcare. Available shifts are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and a double-weekend schedule.

Requirements

Current, valid Registered Nurse licensure.
Management or supervisory experience required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in long-term healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practice consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
Evaluate staffing patterns needed to meet residents’ needs in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Receive, transcribe, and implement physicians’ orders.
Implement and evaluate care plans.
Identify and secure equipment and supplies.
Direct and oversee subordinate staff.
Participate in duty assignments.
Organize and coordinate subordinate staff, job tasks, and time allotments.
Oversee and monitor subordinate staff functions and activities.
Evaluate staff performance and take appropriate disciplinary or training action.
Monitor infection-control compliance.
Investigate and document accidents and incidents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
