About The Position

Benchmark at Rye is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver nursing care to residents in a warm, comfortable, home-like environment. The role is part of a team focused on supporting residents and building lasting relationships with residents and associates. This is a full-time night position from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., with a listed pay range of $40–$44 per hour.

Requirements

• Current state RN or LPN license and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved RN/LPN program, as required by the state.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience working as a nurse is preferred.
• Previous experience working with elderly people in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assess, communicate, and document residents’ status.
• Observe and report significant changes in residents’ behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, Resident Care Assistants, and Executive Director, in accordance with state regulations.
• Direct and supervise Resident Care Assistants’ daily work assignments.
• Mentor, guide, and direct Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their work.
• Coordinate care needs with community providers through an effective case management process.
• Balance service demands with support for residents’ independence.
• Recognize and help prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and report concerns to appropriate sources per state regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and personal emergency response system calls, and determine when to call for backup.
