Registered Nurse - Medical Group Neurology
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care services in a medical group neurology setting in Glenview, Illinois, under the direction of the office Practice Manager and Physicians. The role includes phone triage, handling test results, medication refills and prior authorizations, conveying plans of care, and providing patient education and teaching. The nurse also reviews and responds to patient messages through NorthShore Connect and documents care in Epic, the electronic medical record. This is a part-time position scheduled for 20 hours per week. The schedule rotates between Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. one week, and Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. the following week.
Requirements
- Current professional nursing licensure in the State of Illinois.
- Graduate of a state-approved school of nursing; an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is the minimum education requirement.
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in an office or hospital setting.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred.
