About The Position

Saint Luke’s South in Overland Park is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Progressive Care Unit team. The hospital is a Primary Stroke Center and STEMI receiving center, serves Johnson County, Kansas, and surrounding communities, and is certified by The Joint Commission in orthopedic joint replacement for hip and knee. The team seeks positive, collaborative, resourceful, patient-centered nurses who enjoy working with others and empowering and teaching colleagues. Saint Luke’s aims to be “The Best Place to Get Care. The Best Place to Give Care.” The Registered Nurse uses the nursing process to provide and coordinate care for assigned patients, delegates care tasks, and supervises other patient care staff. The nurse works with other members of the health care team as indicated to support optimal patient outcomes and follows applicable policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures. This is a part-time night position.

Requirements

Registered Nurse qualification.
Associate degree.
Less than one year of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process.
Perform patient care, delegate patient care tasks, and supervise other patient care staff.
Coordinate the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consult with other health care team members when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Demonstrate proficiency and abide by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
