Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit
About The Position
Saint Luke’s South in Overland Park is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its progressive care unit team. The role is suited to positive, patient-centered nurses who enjoy working collaboratively, helping others expand their skills, and contributing to a kind and professional team. Saint Luke’s South is a Primary Stroke Center and STEMI receiving center serving Johnson County, Kansas, and surrounding communities. It is also certified by The Joint Commission in orthopedic hip and knee joint replacement. The nurse uses the nursing process to provide and coordinate care for a group of assigned patients, delegates patient-care tasks, and supervises other patient-care staff. The nurse collaborates with other members of the health care team as indicated to support optimal patient outcomes and follows applicable policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures. This is a part-time night position.
Requirements
- Associate degree.
- Registered Nurse qualification.
- Applicable experience: less than 1 year.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process.
- Perform patient care, delegate patient-care tasks, and supervise other patient-care staff.
- Coordinate the plan of care for a group of assigned patients.
- Consult with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate proficiency and abide by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
