About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Memphis East is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care and treatment to patients throughout their recovery. The role is located inside Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, and is full-time, working 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Compensation is $37.40 to $56.57 per hour, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS certification required at hire.
ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
Demonstrate competence in rapid response and code events.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
Perform other duties as assigned.
