Registered Nurse - CCU
About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the CCU delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and is accountable for the care of assigned patients. The role also includes directing and guiding patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. This is a full-time, day-shift position at St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
