Registered Nurse - CCU
About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the CCU at St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee provides direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse is accountable for care delivered to assigned patients, guides patient and family teaching, and directs the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The role requires communicating with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response. This is a full-time, day-shift position.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current certification.
- Complete Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute-care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
