About The Position
Bristol Health is hiring a per-diem Registered Nurse for behavioral health at the BHI Bristol Hospital Main Campus in Bristol, Connecticut. The role supports the organization’s commitment to compassionate, quality care and its values of Communication, Accountability, Respect and Empathy (C.A.R.E.). The position requires completion of unit-based competencies and other training programs designated by the Education & HRD department. Employees may also be asked to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- BSN or Associate Degree.
- Current Connecticut RN license in good standing.
- One year of clinical nursing experience in an acute or subacute care environment.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Current State of Connecticut licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Successfully complete general orientation at hire and required training programs.
- Complete annual Fire/Safety/Infection Control education and Health Care Provider CPR with BLS from the American Heart Association.
- Successfully complete the unit-based competency package and unit-specific requirements.
- Strong team skills.
- Physical agility for activities including walking, running, bending, stooping, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, standing, sitting, and twisting.
- Ability to lift more than 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the work day.
- Vision and hearing acuity correctable to normal; an acute sense of smell; and ability to verbalize so the average person can comprehend.
Nice To Haves
