About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care to residents in a skilled nursing environment at one of its more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. This is a full-time night position, with shifts from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Compensation includes a competitive wage and shift differentials.

The RN supports daily clinical operations on the unit and works with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote quality care and resident safety. The role requires accurate medication and treatment administration, timely documentation, and adherence to infection-control, safety, regulatory, and facility protocols.

Requirements

• Hold a valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or able to be activated in Iowa.
• Hold current, valid CPR certification.
• Have knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to helping others and consistently treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and compliance protocols.
