Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Children's Specialty Center
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients in varying states of health and illness through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing plan of care. The Staff Nurse II is an essential member of nursing and multidisciplinary teams, providing direct patient care, instruction, and preparation for continuing care during and following care transitions. May take charge as operational need allows. This is a per diem position with no committed hours and is not benefit eligible. The role is based at UVMMC Medical Center, Main Campus, 111 Colchester Avenue, Burlington, Vermont, in Vermont Children's Hospital - Clinical. It is a bargaining union position. A per diem differential is included in pay.
Requirements
- Appropriate experience in the specific clinical area; requirements vary by unit.
- Greater than one year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and plan, implement, and evaluate their nursing plan of care.
- Provide direct patient care as a member of nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide patient instruction and prepare patients for continuing care during and following care transitions.
