About The Position

The Triage Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patients’ status, plans of care, and achievement of goals. Care is provided compassionately, professionally, ethically, and knowledgeably, in accordance with the Caring Model and Rush Copley’s mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures. The nurse upholds ethical and safe practices and prioritizes patient care. The role works closely with the multidisciplinary team and requires awareness of professional limitations, including seeking advice, judgment, and support when needed. Duties include telephone triage using established practice guidelines, patient education, and medication refills.

Requirements

• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• CPR certification.
• BSN degree, or obtain a BSN within five years of hire.
• ACLS certification is required in Critical Care/ER areas.

Nice To Haves

• Previous triage experience.
• EPIC Triage Module experience.
